We love growing house plants. Most of them are epiphytes (live on trees) and need to climb to grow to their best potential. Off-the-shelf moss poles tend to be made from coco coir which repels water and can cause aerial root death of sensitive plants.

OurGentleGarden Moss Poles offer a sleek solution to mimic the jungle's natural conditions and help your plants grow more healthily - to greater heights!

NOTE: This listing is for the pole only. Media such as sphagnum moss can be purchased here.

Benefits:

  • Classy hexagonal cutouts: Maximum exposure of moss to your plant, allowing the aerial roots to cling onto the pole firmly and safely
  • Cutouts on the majority of surface area: Aerial roots cling onto a greater surface of our poles with entries and exits in more directions, maximising the growth of your plants
  • Relatively wider cutouts: Allow for bigger plants with chonky roots to enter the pole but yet sized suitably to allow the media of your choice, be it sphagnum moss, tree fern bark or coco chips, to stay contained within the pole. The bigger cutouts also make separating plants from the pole much easier should the need arise
  • Double layered back: Sturdier spine even for heavier climbers
  • Simple to set up: Snap the pole into the preferred shape with the insert tabs. There are two rows of slits for you to snap the pole into shape. This allows you to create a thinner or thicker pole according to your needs. No tools or extra materials are required for assembly, except your choice of media to be used in the pole
  • Versatile design: It's as though you got 4 poles! The four fold lines allow you to create four different shapes of poles according to your preference
  • Easily extendable: The design allows you to simply attach a new pole to the existing one at the top. However, if your plant is big and leaning heavily on the pole, we strongly suggest adding a garden stake or cable ties to secure the extension firmly

How to use:

  • Refer to the video on how to set up (or challenge yourself to try figuring it out - it's really easy!)
  • Fill the pole with the media of your choice. We recommend spaghnum moss!
  • As it is semi-enclosed with an opening at the top, just add water to the top of the GrowPole and watch the water percolate down and get absorbed by the substrate
